Voice of the Republican Party of Menominee County, Michigan

US House District 1

Summary for Menominee County:

The Republican incumbent, Congressman Jack Bergman, won the district election and received the majority of votes in Menominee County with 66 percent in his favor. Bergman received the most votes in all districts. He carried Menominee City’s Wards 1 and 2, even though he received less than 50 percent of the vote because of an atypically large turnout (242 voters) of independent voters in his race. For more details please see the graphics and table below. For more details on the state and county elections, please see the Elections Page for Nov 2022.

Graphic 1, District 1 Race in Menominee County, MI

The mostly red graphics below show how popular with the voters was the candidate who won each precinct . This is based on the percentage of votes they received in that precinct. Red precincts were won by Republican candidates and blue by Democrats. The tan color shows precincts won by Republicans with less than half of the popular vote.

The mostly green third graphic shows where the Republican candidate received the highest number of votes. In other words their heartland. Menominee’s 20 precincts were divided into five groups based on the largest to smallest number of votes received. These precincts are color coded with the darkest green being where candidates received the most votes and lightest where the received the smallest number. The percentage represents the portion this precinct contributed to the total votes the Republican candidate received.

Menominee City and Township were too crowded to see the numbers in the maps above so I enlarged them. The color coding for this graphic is the same as the image above.
